California Coastal Commission Underwrites High School Field Trips

Thanks to a generous grant from the California Coastal Commission, we are able to offer field trips to over 600 disadvantaged high school students at no charge. During the trips the students spend a couple of hours paddling outrigger canoes in the Upper Bay and get to see birds such as the great blue heron, great egret, black skimmer, brown pelican and least tern up close. The Coastal Commission grant program is is made entirely possible by sales of the Whale Tail Specialty License Plate sold by the DMV. Please support the grant program.
