The Great Earth Walk, an
exciting, new event to promote environmental education in
California, will take place from 8 am to 11 am on Saturday, May 1.
It is expected to draw from 25,000 to 50,000 people throughout the
State, all walking to raise money for participating non-profits.
Upper Newport Bay will be the primary walk site in Orange County. In
addition to hosting, we are also participating in the walk with ten
other local environmental organizations. We urge you to
register to walk on our behalf and raise money for our
restoration and education work here at the Bay.
