Water Tours

One of the best ways to appreciate the Bay is to get out on the Bay, experience the tranquility and see pelicans, terns and egrets flying by you. And if your eyes are quick, catch a glimpse of mullet jumping out of the water.
Twilight Canoe Tours & Barbeque Join Naturalists and Sea Scouts for a beautiful tour of the Back Bay followed by a cookout at the Newport Aquatic Center. Tours depart from there at 4:00 pm on scheduled Saturdays during May through October. Fee is $25. Reservations required (949) 642-5031. Next dates are: Sept. 13 and Oct. 11
Kayak Tours Join a trained Naturalist every Saturday and Sunday morning year-round for a 2-hour guided tour of the Back Bay. Bring sun protection. Be prepared to get wet. Fee is $15.00 and $10 for Newport Bay Naturalists and Friends (NBNF) members and California Wildlife Campaign (CWC) members. Reservations are required - call (949) 923-2269. Saturday tours are conducted in partnership with the Newport Dunes. Meet at the Newport Dunes at 10:00 am. Sunday tours are conducted in partnership with the Newport Aquatic Center. Meet at the Newport Aquatic Center at 10:00 am.
