Plant: Woody shrub, freely branched, stout. light gray-green, aromatic to smell, 5 to 8 feet tall. Common.
Flowers: Minute flower heads in compound racemes.
Leaf: Alternate, clustered on branches, 3/8 to 2 inches long. divided into narrow segments. Covered with minute, light gray hairs.
Flowering period:
August to December
Use by Indians:
Leaves were rubbed on the body when hunting to mask the hunters scent from the animal.
