Training Given:

In addition to the one-day Associate Training,
a new Specialist will work at the front desk with an experienced
Specialist until comfortable being on his or her own.

Job Description:
|
The Specialist works at the front desk greeting
visitors, answering the phone, passing out information sheets and
answering questions posed by visitors. You do not need to know all
of the answers. Staff and County rangers are available to help you.
Also, the Specialist is responsible for handling merchandise sales
at the NBNF gift counter.
When not working with visitors, the Specialist
will be restocking leaflets and merchandise, or occasionally
assisting staff with tasks such as stuffing envelopes, reproducing
handouts or preparing program materials. A detailed checklist of
duties is available in the Associate Training Manual.

Job Expectations:
|
Volunteer at the IC front desk a minimum of two
times per month for 6 months.
