We have several good PowerPoints,
including Chuck Nichols’, that have been used for various outreach
presentations. We also still have some good slide shows (with real
slides) that could be dusted off and used, or converted to
electronic media. Opportunities exist to go beyond what we have and
create good-quality movies for web broadcast or even DVD.
A variety of skill sets are needed
to produce good audio-visual presentations.
They range from being able to establish the target audience and
storybook the appropriate presentation, to being able to edit
digital video. Some people may have one skill, but not another. So
most projects are likely to be team efforts. Right now we are
looking to inventory interests and skills to see what projects we
can realistically undertake this year.
