NBNF relies on individual and corporate members and sponsors for a large portion of its funding. Donors and prospective donors need to be engaged in what we do and share our passion for the Bay. While they receive Tracks and other informational updates from us, a personal touch is always beneficial. We are looking for outgoing, enthusiastic individuals to develop relationships with one or two major donors. Find out where their interests lie, ask them down to the Bay for a personal walking or water tour, tell them about the great things we are planning to do, etc. Donor Cultivators are NOT expected to ask for money.

Job Description:

Donor Cultivator efforts are coordinated through the Board Fundraising Committee and are supported by the NBNF Executive Assistant.

• Choose one, two or more donors or prospects to cultivate. Those where a relationship already exists (e.g. membership of the same trade or social group) are ideal.
• Maintain personal contact with the donors/prospects roughly once per month.
• Let Executive Assistant know of any significant items that come up in conversations for addition to the Contact Log for the donor in our database.
