There are several overlapping tasks:
The first is to work with knowledgeable
personnel to identify government agencies, non-government
organizations, colleges, private companies, volunteer groups and
individuals that have been, are, or plan to be engaged in research,
studies, information gathering, data collection, mapping, and
related activities in or around UNB.
Having identified potential data sources, the
next task is to list what data each has produced, or is aware of.
The data subject matter to be identified is open-ended, ranging from
geology to water quality to mammal sightings to recreational use.
A Peer Review Panel (see Science Advisor job
listing) made up of acknowledged experts in all scientific fields
necessary to review and critique the studies and reports that will
be cataloged. Data Catalogers will assist with obtaining electronic
or paper copies of those data items that are candidates for
scientific review and synopsis.
Either Data Catalogers (if qualified) or
Science Advisors will prepare the synopses. Ranking of the level of
significance each study, report, plan or data set as it relates to
developing the CRMP will be done by the Science Advisors through the
Peer Review Panel.
