Scout Program Assistants are urgently needed! Scout programs for
Girl Scout Brownies and Juniors, Bear Cubs and Webelos have been
conducted at Back Bay Science Center. Scout programs are currently
being created for Brownies & Bear Cubs to be conducted at the
Muth Interpretive Center. All programs are nature oriented.

Training Given:
|
In addition to the Associate Training, a scout
leader will train you on what they would like you do to when
assisting them with a program. This will primarily be keeping the
group together and safe while on nature walks as well as assisting
with the crafts/games and set up/put away of materials needed.

Job Description:
|
Scout Program Assistants help with advertised
programs from either the Muth Interpretive Center or the Back Bay
Science Center at times requested by the Scout Troop/Pack/Den
leaders. The Scout Programs Manual lists materials needed and what
to cover to earn the entire patch/badge. The Assistant will follow
the instructions of the Leader as to where help is needed.

Job Expectations:
|
Assist with at least 2 programs per month for
at least 6 months. Consider becoming a Scout Program Leader by going
through the 10-week Naturalist Training.
