Job Description:

Kayak Tour Leaders lead advertised tours out of the Dunes on Saturday morning and out of the NAC on Sunday morning. Leaders check participants in and give them orientation to paddling before taking them up into the Ecological Reserve where they talk about the birds, fish and plants found at the Bay, the importance of the Bay as an estuary, threats to the Bay and what the public can do to help protect the Bay. Tours are mellow and low-key for leaders and participants. Don’t be concerned about not being able to identify all the birds, or knowing the answers to all the questions. Just be enthusiastic about the Bay.

Job Expectations:

Make a commitment to become a Tour Leader and lead one tour per month for at least 12 months.
