Estuary Awareness Day, Saturday May 1, 2004

For the past 13 years we have held an annual Earth Day festival  in April. In 2000 we added an annual Ocean Discovery Day celebration in June. This year we are holding a bigger and more exciting combined event on Shellmaker Island on Saturday, May 1 from 11 am to 4 pm. We have named it Estuary Awareness Day to promote public awareness of the Bay as an estuary and to foster the link between the Bay and the upstream communities in our watershed. Please join us and our Management Coalition partners for this exciting event. We are honored to have Tod Ridgeway, Mayor of the City of Newport Beach, as Honorary Chairman.
